We all know that probiotics are good for us. They benefit our gut biome and our overall health. But our skin also has a biome that is rich in microbial life, which means probiotics are good for wound care as well.
Instead of sterilizing a wound, probiotic wound healing means you feed the damaged tissue with the life-giving nutrients and microbes it needs to heal. Instead of stripping a wound of life with an antibiotic (anti = opposed to, and biotic = having to do with life or living organisms), you feed the wound probiotics (pro = for or on behalf of something) and then sit back and watch the power of nature unfold!
We are indeed wonderfully made! All our bodies need are a few basic nutrients and we can knit ourselves back together after an injury.
This probiotic wound care kit can be used on humans, pets, or livestock. The basic kit comes with three components: Probiotic spray, DMSO spray (70%), and EMLC
- The DMSO will help cut down the pain from the wound, prepare the wound for treatment, and enhance the performance of the other products.
- The probiotic spray will feed our outer biome with the living microbes necessary to knit the damaged tissue back together.
- And the EMLC provides the essential fatty acids and amino acids that are the building blocks of healthy new tissue, as well as keeping the wound area soft and pliable.
A Couple Extras
We have a couple of other products that you may want to have on hand as well. We have a good all-natural, biodegradable, pH balanced, non-stinging soap called This Soap that we have put into a spray foamer for wound care. Using the foamer, This Soap will stay on the wound where you want it, and will prepare the area for the other products. This Soap is non-toxic, which means you can rinse it away onto the ground or down the drain with no concerns about putting harsh chemicals or caustics into the environment.
We also have U.S. Pharmaceutical grade 3% Hydrogen Peroxide if you prefer to use that for wound care. This product helps wounds through the oxidation process, foaming up when it comes into contact with contaminates.
